Oh dear. Are things beginning to go off the wall and out of control in unexpected ways? Or perhaps it’s all just a misunderstanding. That’s it Paul, just inform them that nobody knows what they’re doing. I sure don’t, and I’ve at the very least got a massive webcomic out of it! And there’ll be more of it to read next week I bet, just as long as Paul stops saying things … even the right things! That’s the worst. I guess.

Poor Kyra. She shall never know the deliciousness that is plants… the delicate sweetness of corn, the tartness of cherries, the wonderful roundness of bread and pasta.
You know, carnivores tend not to have a great sense of taste. Is that the case for Kyra?
I suppose we got this little bit from this page –
“I shouldn’t be surprised that they realized I have great taste … but not really taste BUDS but whatever”
Well, Kyra never wanted to eat plant foods like fruits, vegetables, and even protein-laden plants.
Even though, I would like to see Kyra’s thoughts on this subjects. She even said NO to plants.
Hmm, was it a “No! They haven’t let me try them!” type of no, or was it a “No! DON’T MAKE ME!” type of no? ????
And then we get to the end of this story and all the tapping was a game of candy crush.
Turnabout can be used against their turnabout as well. e.g. “We’re certainly not willing to EXPERIMENT on her like some sort of lab rat!”
I’ve been pondering if they need to open up a social science wing, especially with the last page with Kyra desperately wanting to go run around outside instead of all this boring human stuff. They’re all worried over dinosaur physical health studies, but where’s the dinosaur mental health studies?
They could set up a dedicated “Dinosaur Culture Studies” area, where they try to reverse-engineer what “dinosaur culture” could be like. Housing, tools, sports & games, social dynamics, etc. Social science with some added speculative alt-history LARPing. Basically, just ask Kyra how she thinks dinosaurs would run their society, but with some added science-y testing to help filter out the “teen” from “teen dino”. Mix in a few educated dino-anthropology guesses. Employ a bunch of people in dinosaur costumes simulating what a “normal” social environment might be like. Sure, it probably would be a lot of wish-fulfilment for Kyra, but it would add a side benefit of giving her a safe space where the humans have to do the dressing up instead of her. Plus the more science-y benefit of discovering new activities that may be an important part of dino-social growth. After all, even with our technological advancements (or introvert natures… ???? ), there’s still some hard-wired parts of our brains that need social interaction that can’t be substituted with virtual interactions.
I would have let Kyra field the question of whether we’ve ever “let her try vegetables.” I’m surprised she said no… I would have thought she’d have sampled them at some point, whether they let her or not.
Well there is this episode:

*NOT FOR KYRA*
Obligate carnivores can and will occasionally eat grass or fruit as a supplement to their diet, but it’s not something they can live off of. It’s usually situations like “I feel sick, I need some fiber” or “Some fruit fell in the river. Quick and easy energy!” Somehow, I get the feeling that’s not the answer these people are looking for.
I imagine that Kyra’s dietary needs more closely resemble that of a bird of prey. So I guess the question is, do eagles/falcons/owls/vultures etc ever need to eat plant matter directly? Unfortunately it’s not a topic that I am knowledgeable in.
