Uh-oh Kyra’s in … trouble?  Hmmm.
Just one page today because of Thanksgiving week, but at least it’s a good page!  I’m so happy that this particular page ended up being color page 1500.  Oh is that a large number.  We got some good lore drops that I’ve been sitting on for a long time.  What a coincidence!  The first chapter was poster on September 3rd so, sure, that can be Kyra’s actual birthday.  Works out for me!  And you know what, let’s call her species the Kyraptor.  It’s fitting and sounds awesome just the way she likes it.

Thanks to all of you for actually reading all 1500 pages (as well as the original un-numbered ten chapters) as it means a lot to me.  As I was short on time, and as well as the page number sneaking up on me, I don’t have any special image to go with it.  Oh, but I suppose I DO have this drawing done that I can share now.  Don’t forget during this adorable Kyra in a dress story that she is still STRONG.  Hopefully strong enough for the next thousand pages.  So many more dinosaur stories to tell!

Kyraptor! I love it! She’s an adorable Dino, even if she’s getting increasingly larger and deadlier.

Thanks for all these pages and hard work. I’ve been here a while and I’ll stay for the next 1000!
Wish I had ways to contribute more then expressing my fandom for all things Kyra.

Congrats on 1500th page!

I wasn’t exactly here the whole time from the start, though I do remember reading all of your wildly classic black and white Paul & Kyra saga and once I finished, I believe there were only a couple of colored chapters at the time. Still immensely enjoyable even to this day.

And Kyraptor… I never thought of that and yet it’s totally fits. Did you have this name all the time in your head which is why you called her Kyra from the start? Or you just had it for some time? And since she’s only a teenage, I wonder how much bigger and fluffier she’ll get being adult within a few years? Cute pictures as always :3

Best of luck on the next (maybe) 1500!

Thank you for the reading!

Originally, like the comic world itself, I would just refer to her as Kyrasaurous. Didn’t think much about it. It might of been after I named my famous TF2 hat, a dinosaur hoodie with a full moon, the “lunaraptor” the idea snuck into my head. Then I sat on it for a while until this page finally came up. And here it is at last!

Grown up adult Kyra could be simply terrifying. I bet a lot of people in the comic world will have a lot to say about that … someday.

“Part 2 the Teenage part” is close to being half as long as the original forty chapters, while only being sixteen chapters deep. The stories have gotten much longer and will take a while to tell XD

“Kyraptor” – love it! Why didn’t I ever think of it?
Was not expecting Bill to sign her in like that, I was expecting more of a tongue lashing and dragging her back to the vehicles.
Kyra really does look different without her cute outfits.
I’ve been here since the very first comic and will remain for the next 1500 – even more if that hopefully happens!

Wow, 1500 pages huh? Been reading plenty of webcomics in my years, and it’s not often one gets reminded of the sheer length they get to! I’m very happy to see your hard work get a summarized number!

Gosh, I still remember starting to read back at, I think the toaster story? I have vivid memories of all our favorite plumbe- er, I mean, hardware store worker! And then I’ve just been sticking by as I find myself always excited for the next page of this story since it goes in unexpected ways, and I’ve always enjoyed Kyra’s design even since the beginning. It’s a mixture of cartoony, cute, but also having that edge when required.

And as a character designer at heart, I can very much tell how much you love to dress them up! Kyra is looking extra cute in the current dress, I especially like the little chest-tuft of fluff!

I’ll keep looking forward to every new art piece and page you make, and I hope you’ll keep feeling the creativity flow into your art. :3 Your dedication is admirable, and I find myself thinking back on Kyra during the days when I see dinosaurs, so it’s definitely had an impact on my personal creativity.

Thank you for reading and the kind words – the ones about the design especially. Sometimes I regret moving away from her original triangle shaped head she had in the very beginning, because it’s instantly recognizable as “raptor dinosaur.” But the “dragon like” style she eventually morphed into is significantly more expressive, which works better for a comic. Plus she has that adorable snoot now!

I do wish I had more time for “dress up” or just extra drawings in general. Between two webcomics and work there just doesn’t seem to be time. Let that creative feeling flow indeed!
