Good old main characters, together at last! I’ll have to get to the other ones eventually. Almost makes me want to rush them, but we’ll get there. Unless I do a crazy bulk “where they are now” chapter. I’m still working that one out.
Speaking of which, for these new Kyra pages I’ve been making myself write them out in a notebook first. You might say “well of course how else does it get done?” Well I always have a general idea of what each page is going to be which in the past was often enough. But then when it wasn’t oh no it takes much longer to plan in the moment. Keeping ahead is very good. I mostly bring this up now because this page was a few doodles for “put stairs here” and “nice city view” a very easy sketch indeed. We’ll see what I can come up with for next Monday oh yes!

Monochrome Paul going up the dark staircase speaks to my soul.
Like how artists like using the appearance of color as this great illuminating thing and then Paul is just… deadpan about it.
You can only travel up the moody stairs and walk along darken corridors to see a beautiful outdoor view to yell at a dinosaur so many times until it becomes routine … apparently.
People are running, yelling, and panicking while Paul calmly strolls to Kyra’s hiding place . . . she might be harder to find if she didn’t leave such a trail of fun objects.
It’s not a trail if she’s leaving junk like that EVERYWHERE! Smart, taps on head
Clever Kyra . . . or is she just that messy?
I’m gonna cry if it turns out Paul is Kyra’s new antagonist
I don’t think I want to be deafened by the sound of that many hearts breaking at once.
Everyone’s parents are their antagonists when they’re teenagers
Paul’s not mad. He’s just frustrated that this building doesn’t have an elevator.
