Deep dino thoughts, deeper than any cow can achieve. Some things to think about for sure.
As for me I too have had a lot on my mind. A few weird physical oddities have been showing up on my art tablet which has been troubling, Did some research and it seems the battery got a little swollen at some point in the past. That is no good, no siree! I could try getting it fixed, though how much, how long, and if even possible are all issues. Getting something new is an option but boy I was expecting a computer that expensive to at least last three years! Certainly a lot to think about … dang digital art is expensive! At least I stopped piling up a massive stack of papers from years of comics.

Very deep dino thoughts. Also humans are gross, yes. Don’t go giving cows ideas Kyra.
Maybe they just need to try us first, that could change their minds.
Or maybe we could make the best fertilizer for the best grass.
The cowvolution is coming
I for one impatiently wait for synthetic meat. No more chickens in battery farms, just drumsticks in a laboratory.
in 2018, it cost $2400 to grow 1 pound of meat in a lab, 5 years prior, it cost $300,000
Progress is being made, and it’s being made fast
On the other hand, there’s already soy and pea and all those other vegetable-based substitutes already existing
Those are great too (especially as they get better and better at emulating actual meat) but they don’t quite have the coolness factor of synthetic meat, nor the related benefits of being able to do stuff like grow someone a new heart or kidney.
I’ll be honest, I kind of assumed these were dairy cows not beef cows. Or at least I guess I was hoping that was the case.
Not that dairy production isn’t also often cruel, mind you.
I had to check this out . . . old dairy cows and also those who don’t produce enough milk are made into hamburger (their meat is too tough for steaks, etc.)
Someday you could be eating one of those cows, discovering the steak was too big, then leaving the rest in the fridge as leftovers for too long. What a legacy!
I love all the happy animals – especially the party pig!
On the corner insert panel, Kyra looks like she’s headbanging with awesome 80’s glam-rock hair. XD
Let’s hope Kyra never finds out about the people who seem to be interested in being eaten, especially by something as cool as a dinosaur.
Not THIS chapter at least =)
Something’s changed between how you’ve been drawing Kyra’s face near the beginning of this new arc, and now. I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s really good!
Also, I’m digging this page in specific. It’s all presented in Kyra-talk, but I really like how deep the thoughts on the fragility of life and coping with it and all that go here.
Thanks! One of the things I’ve been working on is Kyra’s head, trying to get the head feathers and smile right. Practice makes perfect! And Kyra may not be able to human language very well, she does have a lot of thoughts in her head. They’re just hard to get out for our wordy, rule and rule breaking words humans use.
