Then that just happened. I guess Kyra has her own set of fears in situations like this.
Thank you for waiting so patiently for the next update. I got the hardware and software problems fixed so we’re back to normal again. I hope the suspense was worth the wait! And if not well the story isn’t done just yet! Plenty of time for happenings to happen. I mean, she’s still right there! She’s also in this bonus drawing I did last week. I was going to draw Kyra with a cake but then I realized that I share a Birthday with Zack Morrison who draws the webcomic PARANATURAL. So I drew their character Max with Kyra as well. More fun for all!

Huzzah, update.
Kyra is not the least intimidated, more disappointed. Which says a lot about her confidence in her abilities and her regard humans and their guns. Her restraint is most interesting!
I imagine she’s smart enough to realize that they can’t actually fire their guns at her without alerting people outside the barn.
They seem a lot less threatening now than they did at first!
Only brave when they think they’re in control.
Huh interesting that’s she’s actually afraid of them, but for different reasons. I think she’s afraid of them hurting her friends and of herself losing control and hurting them.
And I think she wanted to learn how to get out of this situation by herself though she’s not doing as good of the job xD Bill is definitely getting in the next few pages now
Oh and she’s also afraid of them not being her friends because I believe she feels that being friends is to be seen as equal worth as a person to them and not as animal or object.
That is like a 3 meter upwards leap! And she is doing it on the spot in a speed they did not even realise it in that quickly.
It should not be too surprising tbh. She was, even when small, quite sportive 10 years ago. However it realy makes me wonder just how much her abilities improved in that time.
And this page kind of shows where her distress came from. It was not due to those guys being any threat for her. More of a social conflict in her, as others here have already pointed out.
Now.. how will the people outside of the barn react? I am keen to know!
That little Kyra was fast and furious as an infant. I can’t wait to see what she can REALLY do when the time comes. For the rancher’s sake I hope that time isn’t now.
The composition on the middle panel is genius, having a whole scene shot that is just boxed out to denote time progression.
Just a good old fashioned comic trick. Having it all over one big panel helps set the scale of the scene too.
It’s… the big reveal after a hiatus that the protagonist’s power level has dramatically increased, but they still have to deal with their problems even though they’ve become 100 times more awesome. And it’s done very Kyra style.
Nice
Heh, good to hear! She was a mighty little firecracker when she was a baby, so her power level is probably huge by now. No wonder she was upset that she didn’t have time to do her “running” this morning.
Really glad your computer problems are fixed so we can see that Kyra is okay. Aww she just wants to have some friends – but not these jerks, Kyra!
how have none of them watched cartoons?
I just noticed ” oh no man” does the same funny scared face as Paul
I think Hillbilly Seth Everman and his buddies are in over their heads now
