Oh yeah we finally get to see whatever is going to happen next week at last! I got my art tablet good as new way earlier than I was expecting. I thought when they said 10-15 days they meant once they received it … not whole trip total … which ended up being 9 days even! I was actually planning on getting a single page done for today to start us off, and it’s pretty far along too. Unfortunately I had some software issues initially and then Windows messed everything up on Sunday so I ran out of time before the Monday deadline. Well, I guess that means we have an update guaranteed next time!

I’ve got some more Kyra development pictures to share that I’m pretty hyped about. The first two were done in May 2017 to show that yes I spent a lot of time getting teenage Kyra’s design down. Even then I was rethinking her coloring to something that worked better. The next two were a year later in 2018 when the colors were coming along but the shape wasn’t there quite yet. Then finally we have the last one from October 2018 which is THE picture of Kyra that made me go “ah at last I’ve done it!” – the colors, feathers, hair poof, it all finally hit.

Greetings fellow dinosaur Kyra comic readers and enjoyers, it’s Monday! If you haven’t been following along recently here’s the deal – my art tablet broke so I had to ship it in for repairs, making me unable to properly make more comics until I get it back in a few weeks. I still have my older tablet, but it cannot draw well anymore. So far the only update I have on my expensive drawing tool is that it’s reached the company. Now to wait and see the damages, both physically and fiscally.

So as not to leave you with NOTHING I’ll be digging through the drawings and sketches I have access to for you to look at and go “ooh aah it’s some Kyra I wish I was reading more but this will do for now!” I went with a theme and found some drawings where I was getting a feeling for how she was going to dress when requiring stupid human clothes. There might be a chance one is all sketches of Splatoon2 gear. They’re all from early 2018 too as designing the perfect dinosaur takes a lot of time!
