Just as I thought, I would only get one page finished this week. Luckily I’ve gotten some work into the next page done already so I guess I’m already ahead on the next update! Actually it looks like the next two weeks should be solid on updates so good times there.

Looking at this page some more it’s starting to make me upset! I really like the character designs at this point (Kyra being six and Ann thirteen) and yet it’s for only one page. Alas, it’s not the Ann and Kyra comic as all the other characters I enjoy as well. Plus the time period the present day comic takes place has all the big stories. Luckily there are important things that could happen at this time so I’m sure we’ll come back to it in a different flashback. After all, Kyra is still small enough to squeeze into a backpack!

It’s time to start of another chapter of character and adventure with some more interesting flashbacks. At least I hope you can all see them, as I’m quite busy today and have it set up to automatically go. Like like time does in the past which we’re flashing too! Yeah!

Here we go, chapter 45! It’s time to start off another story with some nice flashbacks. Kyra, Paul, and Ann are talking about drawing and not drawing! Look at them go! Can you believe this is the first time I’ve drawn Paul talking to Ann? Yeah, I realized after the first story arc was done that these two never interacted because it never came up. Well this time all the characters will get their chances to mix and match because there’s so much potential for trouble when you add a dinosaur.

Flashback pages are fun because they have a simpler style to give them this dream like memory look. I sometimes have a tendency to try and put too much into a panel with the weird idea that “more detail” means “better.” So believe me when I say trying to hold back on these pages is a challenge, heh. We’ve got some more flashback pages coming up for that delicious setup and character building. This week my work schedule is a bit overloaded so there’s a chance there might only be one page. We shall see! I do so love these three characters so I’m excited to keep this story moving.
