45- Artistic

45- Artistic published on 16 Comments on 45- Artistic

Uh-oh, it’s those two.  I’m sure maximum trouble will abound or whatever they heck they tend to do.  Something with art maybe?  I hope so as that’s what I called the chapter.  Painting trouble.

I’ve spent the last two weeks putting the final touches on this story – more preparing than I usually do.  I felt the last chapter got pretty clunky behind the scenes as I fell behind in keeping ahead of the story.  That and trying to play some video games (that aren’t Splatoon 2) yet that ended up being boring and unfulfilling.  Thus I’m excitedly looking forward to this one and hope it turns out as well as I see it in my head and sketch log.  Now to go about the act of being … artistic!  Oh ho!

Story should start next week like normal.  The week after that my work schedule is looking pretty brutal so hopefully it doesn’t wear me out too much and I can get a good flow of pages going.  Until then, time to imagine what THIS chapter will be about!  FUN!

Yeah, the last chapter was kind of cluttered, though you did stuck the landing pretty well to tie up lot of things there.

Can’t wait for this chapter, gonna be very meta spending time with Kyra’s big sister after clearing things up with middle sister!

I knew how chapter 44 was going to end, I just didn’t have a clear path to it. That’s why I was quite pleased it worked out, heh. Normally I sketch out the chapter in a book but fell behind this time. I blame the pandemic and being exhausted from work. But now that it’s been a few months I have somewhat of a groove going, plus things (theoretically) will be improving at work next month. Either way I wont be spending nearly as much time trying to fine tune the pages as I draw them this time!

Twist. Kyra was red like this before she got to Ann.
Jokes aside, I am looking forward to an artistic chapter. Looking back at how Kyra picked up arts and Ann certainly did as well, this could go anywhere just like art does.

On a random sidenote: Kyra is considered a teenager I guess, but does it mean that she will grow even bigger, or is she fully grown sizewise. I can’t remember if this was already mentioned, but I do wonder if her height is going to surpass most grown adults at some point, or if Kyra will keep her level. Considering how people already react to her appearance, I doubt it would get much easier for others to not freak out when she is also looking down at them smiling with her sharp teeth.

Something she would probably find hilarious.

Back to the present. Having fun expressing yourself. Art can be used to express your own emotions. I wonder if we get to see a glimpse of how Kyra feels inside apart from her other moments like with the catched free Bird.

I just hope it’s paint! The public seems to be under an assumption she paints with other vital inks.

Alas, things like adult Kyra and other questions can only be answered when the comic does. That’s up to Ty and the rest of the science team to figure out. The good news is that I have many more answers (and of course even more questions) planned. It’s just a matter of time until I get to those chapters. It’s still fun dropping hits, clues, and red herrings to make it interesting!

Hopefully a giant Trex size Kyra isn’t one of them. No more snuggling without crushing!

Oh, I am giving rethorical questions. I should have made that more clear. Of course I want to see the comic answering those questions rather than just reading about it now if it wasn’t answered already in the comic. That is more fun after all!

You made me have to check what color her head feathers are!

Pink, with the same tone/value as her green to make a beautiful clash. Yup, always was that way … yup …

(Deep breath – Was actually not, original story line had a brighter pink with dark tips that looked great on my original tablet but once I got a better monitor/phone/tablet I realized how jarring it actually looked so I adjusted it along with a few other colors for the second story line as I continued to learn more about coloring)
