There’s another thing that hasn’t happened yet until this last page, Kay with a genuine smile!  Try to keep them in your hearts and on your faces you too, even though it appears you each have something big on your minds …

And thus brings chapter 44 to an end!  While it landed its ending I personally felt the ride was bumpier than it should have been.  But these last few months have been certainly crazy so I was having a little more trouble putting it all together.  For the next chapter I’m hoping to get it far more planned out and solidified because I want it to be the best it can be!  At this point I’m assuming it will be like the other times I finished a chapter.  A forced week off to do something else, title page, then resuming after that which would be June 15th.  But, like I said, times are crazy and I want it planned out right so we’ll see what happens.  I also hate NOT working on the comic can keeping the story going so that’s even more to see!

Either way, I hope you enjoyed Kay and Kyra together and look forward to whomever gets into trouble next.  Now I’m not going to spoil anything … but it’s highly probably that it will be Kyra.  Oh yes that dinosaur gets up to the somethings!  Thanks for reading and thanks for waiting for more to read!

“We’ll be better next time.” Love it.

Also, Kay is shaping up to be a little supervillian with final thoughts like those. At least Kyra is self aware of her darker side. Things are definitely getting interesting.

But we never saw why Jill was so mad Paul didn’t come! My sorry suspicion of a ship still sails stormy seas!

Teenagers, just can’t trust them I guess.
But adults, now adults you can … oh wait, hmmm.

One of the reasons I try to always keep the comic moving is to get to all the story lines and ideas I have. There’s so many characters I want to write but when I can only get three chapters done a year I get impatient, heh. A few weeks ago I wrote up a wonderful scene … then realized I wouldn’t get to it until 2023 or later depending on how things go. Alas!

Glad Kay is not resentful towards Kyra. A little concerned she is still trying to get revenge on the world.
Big heart for Kyra considering those 3 her systers. It also made me realise how cool it would be to call a dinosaur my brother or sister.

Also those smiles in the second last picture are great. Even though I can’t realy express it, but it just seems so sincere I would say.

And Kyra looking down to her claws while wondering what if. You keep surprising me with the depth in the dialogues. Even though I got to say, the “Do any of DESERVE friends?” and the “You have to earn friends with them with work.” was hard to read, even for Kyra standards. At least for me.

But this was a great ark.

I also hope you get to relax a little from the covid-16 shenanigans. You are doing wonderful work here, andrew. But do not force yourself through it. This is a adored project of yours and I can tell, so enjoy the break so you can take it where you want it to be.

It’s why a few pages ago the overenthusiastic pro-Kyra people weren’t content with being friends with Kyra, they wanted to be “family level friends” So far only the original characters who have stood with her for the past ten years seem to have achieved that level.

Oh shoot, I messed up that line. Kyra is supposed to say “do and of US deserve friends” so I can see why that particular one would be extra confusing.

While the comic is a lot of work, and actual real job work comes in various levels of stress, making the comic is my favorite thing to do. As long as I keep ahead in planning (which is my goal for the next chapter) or fall behind (which, uh, happens) it’s the best part of the day.

The adorableness of Kyra and Kay lounging together on the last page has been surpassed by them lounging with their heads together – aww.
Oh my, Kay is still having dark, devious thoughts of revenge. Hopefully she won’t get Kyra involved again and cause her to use those claws. Guess we’ll have to wait and see . . . don’t burn yourself out, Andrew, we want you to always enjoy creating your comics.
