I wrote this scene a long time ago and I’m glad to finally get to it. So it’s kind of funny that I sat on these words for so long but can’t think of what to say here. I guess it’s easy to make harsh judgement against people that seem weird to you but … does it matter? I’m pretty sure they don’t need your approval to live their lives. I bet you’re kind of strange in your own way too! Hopefully not dinosaur strange. She can be a handful … as we might see next week? So far so good on this story and am still excited to get to whatever’s going to happen next.

Kyra sure has a lot of nose to turn up in insult.
She could get a trophy for ????????????????. Worlds best nose puter-uper. No competition unless you count an elephant.

I don’t even remember how I came up with the idea of Kyra pressing her nose when making fun of someone. It just naturally seemed like something she’d do and felt right.
That is right on the nose! Ha ha see what I did there?
And then Kyra and Ann would be geeking out over each other like bunch of little wittle kids they were OMG their mastery of self-control would be POOF so easily and make some fools of themselves so quickly!

Also love Paul’s “which is an expression don’t brag about your scales” with absolutely no pause to let her jump in.
It’s a powerful face that says a lot. I must be careful with such a weapon as to not overexpose everyone to its almighty adorableness.
And when I was writing Paul’s line about thicker skin it was the first thing I thought of, so Paul would realize that halfway through as well. No need for her to start bragging about that too.
I love how Paul knows Kyra so well and tries to stay one step ahead of her. And I think we all immediately knew Kyra would brag about her scales.
This page was especially delightful – from the adorableness of Kyra peering down at that woman, to her hands on her hips, “Gosh Kyra you’re so wonderful – have a trophy!” to her sassily pushing her nose up at Bill – loved it all!
Kyra’s becoming quite the character from the curious big mouth baby.
Oh no, Kyra didn’t finish a sentence! That can only mean she already has something planned! Man the battlestations, everybody! This is not a drill!
