Here’s some interesting facts – most carnivores have very few taste buds. Since all they eat is meat they don’t have a big need for a wide palate. All they really need is the bitter side of things to tell if meat is bad. Probably why Kyra hates sugar so much and is baffled why we eat so much. So I guess that means while here eyes and nose are both significantly beyond our comprehension … we can at least taste things better than her. Small consolation maybe?
Hmm, what’s that? Some of you were right about the Kyra/Ann painting? Oh how interesting! And here this story was about to end …

“How curious and culturally refined!”
“SLURRRP”
Haha!
Regarding Kyra’s eyesight, I’m curious if she has tetrachromatic vision.
Also, she seems hesitant to drink any tea other than “that brew”. Is caffeine toxic to her?
Both are things I have yet to look into enough to give a definitive answer. They eye one seems possible, as it’s already shown that she sees far more colors than we do.
Caffeine is something that would come up in a story someday. Kyra is just hesitant because she has absolutely no need for any drinks other than water – nothing “healthy” to give her nutrients, and no way to notice “tasty” things. Thus the drink she DOES enjoy is painfully bitter to humans.
This was just a little taste (heh) of stuff that could come up in the future. It was just the perfect moment to bring it up as it fit in the story very well.
Caffeine is very bad for Avian species. Increased heart rate and can easily cause death. (Avians are the closest to dinosaurs among modern species) also chocolate is fatal.
I will use the power of the author to do whatever I want, mwa haha!
But seriously though, she would probably hate it either way.
Everyone else would hate it more. Kyra on caffeine? No.
So nice to see how Kyra has gained such respect from all the snobby art people. The “fancy delivery guy” even knew about and served her very special brew. It must contain some unusual ingredients. Blood or ground bones were my first thoughts.
And Yay! Kyra did not create any of the chaos and destruction that some feared.
Naw, it’s just some sort of herbal tea … some very VERY strong bitter tea apparently.
How suspicious that they would know about and happen to have Kyra’s special tea drink on hand. We really need to meet this mystery curator.
It never ceases to amaze me how dextrous Kyra is with her toes
Big ground hands I suppose.
I very much like the composition of Kyra in the final panel. The way that she and that cup come together as almost a straight line is quite sharp.
