Ah the world’s biggest yard.  Well, or at least the best yard because it’s the only one with a dinosaur in it.  Unless Kyra isn’t there, of course.  If she left on her own or not is a different chapter.  Many more of those to come oh yes.

For the month of July I’m going to be trying a few different things.  Possibly some BIG things.  Maybe some last ditch effort things to get people to read the comic.  Ah, but anything I do to grow the readership would be better than what I’ve done over the past several years …  which is nothing.  Anyway, there’s a load of things on my mind over the next month and hopefully all the conclusions are Kyra positive.  Need to be a positive Paul and not a negative whatever her name is.  Either way see you next week for more comic!

I hate zoos where bored animals pace in a small circle. Kyra’s outdoor area is a huge improvement. Just look at all the cute little friends she has to play with (until she eats them of course).
Ha, I was also wondering why all those old cars were there. Paul’s explanation makes perfect sense.
I would say that the dirt is dirty indeed. But also the very best dirt. After seeing that Kyra has total access to vegetables, now maybe that guy will shut up about it.

I am still suspecting that the Heather aren’t being honest with their investigation, at least since Cab seems only concerned with Kyra’s health from subjective point-of-view instead of pragmatically and realistically objective point-of-view.

And hopefully Kyra speak out on her own terms because I hate that they’re ignoring her since asking Kyra directly can clarify why she does what she does.

What a nice area for Kyra to be at. Less so for the animals that are just there for Kyra to have something to potentialy hunt and add to her collection of skulls. On the other hand she is like the only hunter in the area so they at least know what to look out for, not that they would have any chance from escaping Kyras many sensory organs.

And I think your main contribution to the comic finding readers is all the pages you have made of this comic, which is a lot! You improved notably over time. I adore your early pages for a variety of reasons like seeing your progress unfold both in the story and your artstyle. However the notion of not having color at first was making reading definetly slower. Color just does stuff, which fortunately I realised was going to come at some point since I saw more recent pages fully colorised. Since nowadays people want to get hooked right from the start it still might impact potential readers going through a still well done but otherwise less refined start.

But I think more importantly to note is that this page is just hard to find for anyone interested. Even when you do find it not everyone understands why next to the url it says “not safe” and might get scared just by that alone. I do remember wondering about that when I first got here. But I am not sure if there is any addvertisement outside of readers recomending this comic to others ( I only found it due to someone mentioning Kyra looking similar to the SGDQ mascot. ) so that is definetly something that could be improved on! Looking forward to what you came up with.

I do tend to get caught up a lot on “oh no the comic doesn’t look that great in the beginning!” But there’s plenty of long running comics that start the same way. Like you said, most people seem to enjoy being able to watch a comic slowly grow into what it eventually becomes.

I also think it’s funny that back in the say I’d say “meh most webcomic pages don’t have an SSL” but that’s no longer true haha. I shall add it to my big list of things to look at when I’m back from an upcoming vacation.
