Wait… can Kyra actually talk to animals? Has she been faking it all this time? She seems to… “See the pictures”, but doesn’t seem to be able to attach any significant meaning.
I think she can get the basic meaning most of the time, but when the animals try to get across a concept that’s too vague, or can’t reason out their “logic” for their explanation, that’s when Kyra starts to appreciate human words more.
This started when Kyra asked “If that’s wrong, tell me what’s right” and the only thing the dog could get across is more “Kyra is evil!” and couldn’t say why without repeating itself or falling back on insults. Sounds oddly familiar….
What intrigues me more is that the animals can understand Kyra perfectly, even though she is speaking human English
Oh, that’s only because Andrew forgot to put something into this chapter. It’s something that’s come up with in the past but I have yet to make it obvious as to what is happening. You can see it in comics like THIS where it looks like Kyra has been talking in English the whole time, but then something like THIS happens as if Ann’s only hearing her talk for the first time. I already have a plan in place to fix this, I just forgot to put it into place for this story. You know, the one that needed it the most XD
Anyway next page will have some more stuff happening in it, with many more to come after!
