Jan-Jane is not my favorite character introduced in this arc.
Tepid sister might be though, look forward to getting her name on a future page!
Jan-Jane is one of those people who say, “What? I’m just being honest.”
Then confronted with the fact that no they actually are being hurtful and inconsiderate will follow up with the “oh I was just kidding then it’s just a joke”
“You’re so ugly”
“Jan-jane, apologize!”
“I’m sorry you’re so ugly”
Yep. Jan-Jane is not likable but happily we have lots of characters – like Paul – to enjoy.
Wait, is he stuttering or is her name actually Jan-Jane?
Yes, I know everyone has stereotypical compound names here, but this is the first that has actually looked like that
Probably short for Janet, but could you imagine if they stuttered when saying their names? It would take Porky Pig a few minutes to address each one!
I find it interesting how Kyra approached this. Looking for other girls? Wants to befriend them imediatly. Showing her most human(dino?) like behavior. In general one can tell how she matured( with normal girl talk in this case). Oh and that grin at panel 6 is just great! Her expressions are so unique while remaining naturally.
Too bad it is wasted on this Jan-Jane.
Something that will certainly come up more in the future I bet. She just likes to hang out with the girlfriend I guess! And yes, that’s the smile that really made me realize I was on to something.
