Ah yes, and then that big weirdo is here too. Gosh am I glad that these pages are finally here. Just as I was so excited to introduce Kyra at the beginning of the year, I’ve been excited to get to this chapter too. Look at all those crazy people! I think I could make a whole comic out of each family by themselves. Oh wait, but we have a Kyra to add to the mix too. Fun times! I also think it’s funny that I designed teenage Kay pretty easily, I spent months trying to get Ann just right. Luckily after Kyra, Ann might be my favorite character ever. Then she goes and wears a big dumb jacket … thing. Again, what a weirdo! But this has just been one page for her and everyone else – so much more to come. All these Monday’s can’t come fast enough.

Is Ann running out of the house without any shoes on? How barbaric and uncivilized!
I love how her hair lays exactly like her moms while being everything her mother probably detests in hair at the same time.
She would prefer you to use the words “free spirited” but I don’t think that’s going to work for everyone when even her own Mother is so upset. But then again, she was distraught when Ann was out of control by DRAWING and PLAYING with her food so what does she know?
ACK! Too much to process in this update! Too many great characters returning to react to. Brain … shutting … down …
You can do what I do and spend the first few days of the week re-reading the new pages. That always helps XD
You know no one is forcing you to read all the pages in one sitting. You can pretend it’s still Monday Wednsday Friday and come back tomorrow ????
Lots-a-thoughts. Gonna have to break this down.
Goodness. Tattoos and a tongue stud!? What will the neighbors think!?
Heh. I too, end up watching lets plays far too long when going to sleep.
“Ink?” I’ve made prints before, and those quotation marks…. concern me.
Kyra was a VERY strong influence on Ann. it would seem.
The juxtaposition between the parents in the last two panels make me wonder if the dad hasn’t mellowed with age, while the mom… didn’t. Only time will tell.
Hmm, I bet the neighbors are stuck up high class wanna-bes just like Ann’s parents. I’m sure it’s but nothing but turned up noses and HARUMPHS for the past decade.
So Ann’s mom will still never win “Mother of the Year.” Ha ha Ann’s coat with dino tail is awesome! ”
I am intrigued by Ann’s shoulder in panel 8 . . . it looks very dinosaur-like. And I am excited that she is excited to spend time with Kyra! Can’t wait to see their interactions.
I’m sure it will be nothing but all of the most trouble.
There must be a cult following that buys tons of Kyra merch. But Ann will always be #1 fan.
I want to see her tat!
We’ll get to Ann piece by piece. There’s a lot going on with that character so it’s probably best to not have it all at once. Still need some suspense here!
Paul’s apprehensive reaction to Kyra wanting to hang with her definitely has me curious. Paul may be a spineless wuss, but he’s been nothing but supportive concerning Kyra’s interspecies friendships. Makes ya wonder….
I JUST now realized that she’s making replicas of the Squid Sisters’ dresses. I KNEW that pattern looked familiar.
Good catch! Now you can look back later and say “haha I knew that” as it looks like Ann might be a Splatoon fan.
The mother is still mother?
Ack! We can see their eyes!
So let’s see, she likes Splatoon, gets to watch Lets-Plays as work research, is an artist who successfully sells her work, presumably in a con-like setting given the context, not to mention she gets to hang out with a dinosaur …
Andrew, did you turn Anne into your personal Mary Sue character?
She certainly seems to be from this page! Luckily a perfect Ann would be quite boring to write. We’ll see more of her life as the comic goes on and if any of those things you said are actually true.
Well, the dinosaur one is obviously true. I can’t deny that one.
Wait, how long has the timeskip been?
A decade, as early on Bill said the place has been going for ten years. That would put the adults in their 30s, Kyra at 12-ish, Kay at 14-ish. and Ann at 19-ish. Lots of ish’s I suppose, heh
For some reason I thought it was five years, and I thought Ann was 13, and I was thinking “13 is a little young to be getting a tongue piercing…”
Ann could be me, minus the artist part. She has a lot going on for herself. And I am not only talking about the dinosaur clothes ( Which I would totaly want as well!) . Let the fun begin!
