I like how this guy can come up with a convoluted scheme to make a lizard play chess without said lizard ever… having… played… chess.

Its not even wacky! People do that all the time! They hear of something with the potential to succeed / make money / be taken advantage of and they run with the idea before they even have an inkling if its sound or not.
