I’m not sure if it’s a good or bad thing to be rejected by clowns for being too strange. Either way Ann seems to be living her life whatever it is. And what do we have there? How cute it’s (checks notes) a 16 year old Ann hanging out with a 9 year old Kyra. Best friends forever whenever they can actually get together!
This is Thanksgiving week so at this point I’m just going to assume I’m only going to get one page done for next week’s update. Unless something happens like weather or I go insane drawing. But I’m just expecting one, we’ll see! Which actually (checks notes again) one page works out perfectly. Actually all the updates so far have been perfect which each part of each character’s story fitting in a 2 or 3 page batch. It can be a hard balance something meant to be read all at once but also feel good for each update! We’ll see who’s up next in next week!

That 4th panel made me laugh so much, especially the “hat hat hat” for some reason.
What does Ann do, exactly? It looks like she’s in the mail room somewhere but I’m not sure if she’s *using* the mailroom or *working* there.
She’s at the post office mailing the pictures she printed off at the print place she was just at. If that’s what she does we don’t exactly know yet. The closest thing we’ve gotten so far is her Mother dismissively asking an “art job” to which her Father interjects “Is today the day somebody’s getting a job?” on page 993. For now I guess it’s just speculation!
Oh. Right. Kyra’s world probably has people providing so many puppet shows as to be obnoxious.
Differentiating clowns and people by blood.
Those clowns better not be up to any satanic rituals after dropping off their mail!

Sometimes a similar group just doesn’t want you for the dumbest reasons. I believe these days the kids are calling it “keeping of the gate”

Of course ann made Kyras clothes. It makes so much sense. How would you go into a normal shop with a dinosaur to test things without everything turning into a clown fiesta! ( This worked better in my head)
Also, ann having red hair at some point, with her current hoody she would look like a twin of kyra. I would love to see that.
And even thought the clowns seem to have an inner circle ( what exactly makes one a clown and diverses one from a crazy person?)
They do agree on the boring day part.
Also ann in second last panel. Even though she is not showing it, it must have hurt a little inside.
Maybe Ann never got over the whole “wants to be a dinosaur” thing? Wanted to be more like Kyra? Wanted Kyra to feel more at home? Oh the things that could and will happen!
