Gotta agree with Kyra here. I appreciate gemstones for their aesthetic value and their interesting geological origins, but their monetary value is absolutely ridiculous when colored glass can fill in just as well. And Diamond is the most valuable? A plain, white stone with no color? How boring can you get? At least it also has practical uses in drills and the like.
not to mention that diamonds are actually very common, jewellers simply stockpile every diamond they find to manufacture faux scarcity.

haha poor fools.
it does not take much strength to break a diamond. the trick is to use enough blunt force to shatter it, which, it turns out, isn’t much due to how absurdly brittle diamonds are.
