I don’t even think she owned a car in the first story arc, as she was either taking the bus or carpooling with Paul. Maybe the city cut back on public transportation after the city council was filled with used car salesmen?
To be fair there probably isn’t a bus that goes all the way to the government-controlled Kyra compound.
I always enjoy your little background signs but I can’t quite make out the last one: “Now with more fonts so please don’t take ? ?”
Times Romana is what I make out, presumably they got sued by The Times when they used the proper name and now have to use the Open Source version

Traffic where I am from is bad both in public transit and by car. cars are stuck in traffic. trains and busses are late or just happen to disapear out of the blue. Once got late 3 hours because 3 different public routes where independantly late/missing.
That being said. I adore the interaction betwen these two. Jill in particular is working well through this dialogue while integrating the bad traffic into it.
And judging from that bottom text I suspect someone has a liking in beans. ( Which I would share :D, to the misfortune of others. )
I always enjoyed writing Jill as she’s a complete grump to everyone except her daughter whom she loves so much. And I suppose the previous Jill and Kay page they were talking about beans!
